Description

"I would be very proud to have the group of girls called ‘The City Kitties’ start a fan club for me"

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, April 2, 1957. Letter to Stewart E. Chamberlain of KGAK Radio in Gallup, New Mexico, in full: “Thank you a lot for the letter. I was happy to hear that my record is going over so good. It means so much to an entertainer to have a successful record. I would be very proud to have the group of girls called ‘The City Kitties’ start a fan club for me. If they are still interested have them write to me % Liberty Records and I will send them the necessary materials and information to start their club. I will be cutting another record in 2 weeks and I will see that you get one as soon as they are off the press. I am enclosing a picture and biography of myself so you will know a little about me. I will speak to Liberty Records about getting my record over in your area. Thank you once again for playing my record. If I am ever in Gallup I will stop in and see you.” In fine condition, with a small area of paper loss near the left edge, affecting nothing.
