While he painted a variety of subjects in various media, his fame rests primarily on his evocative, penetrating society portraits. ALS signed “John S. Sargent,” one page both sides, 4.5 x 3.5, 31 Tite Street letterhead, no date. Handwritten letter to "My dear Kelly," referring to upcoming plans and mentioning that "Easter is on the 12th of April." In very fine condition.
