Early vintage ink signature of Ronald Reagan, "Dutch Reagan,” on an off-white 4 x 3 sheet, which is matted with a photo of Reagan and an engraved plaque, which reads, “Dutch Reagan Signature with Co-workers, Signed in 1932 at WOC Radio, Station Davenport, Iowa.” Framed to an overall size of 12.25 x 21. In fine condition, with heavy ink flow to Reagan's first name.
The matted photo shows Ronald Reagan, known as Dutch Reagan, as he appeared in a 1932-33 promotion when he worked as a sportscaster for WHO radio in Des Moines, Iowa. The photo is a copy of a postcard that was sent to people who wrote to Reagan at WHO. Reagan, who does not smoke, is pictured with a pipe and a dog, Peggy, in this advertisement for Kentucky Winner cigarettes and Kentucky Club pipe tobacco.
