Description

Reformer (1793-1880) active in the Underground Railroad and the first president of the American Equal Rights Association. ANS, penned on two slips clipped from a larger sheet, 5 x 1.75, no date. Short handwritten note from Lucretia Mott: “My dear friend, I cheerfully comply with thy request, and the wish of thy dear little Garibaldi. Truly your friend, Lucretia Mott.” Affixed to a slightly larger cardstock mount and in fine condition, with some light soiling.
