Description

TLS in bold pencil, one page, 8 x 9.5, June 17. Letter to her friend, Villa Curran, in full: “Thank you for Raymond's address. I will write to him the first chance I get. I hope I shall meet Miss Evans sometime, and then how we shall talk about him! I love to think of the dear, bright little boy with whom I had such merry frolics in the old days at Red Farm. What do you say – you and Thurston – to going with us on a little picnic Saturday? We would leave here at twelve o'clock and run down the island and eat in some pretty place. Do come, I know we shall all have a jolly good time, though alas! I can't hope to give you all the pleasure that you crammed into that wonderful afternoon on the Hudson.” In fine condition, with some faint staining in the bottom blank area.
