DS, signed “Elizabeth R.,” one page, 21 x 16.5, March 10, 1975. The Queen appoints “Our Trusty and Well-beloved Peter Warren Chandley, Esquire, to be an Officer of Our Diplomatic Service at any of Our Diplomatic, Consular, or other similar Establishments abroad or in the Department of Our Principal Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.” Signed prominently in the upper right by Queen Elizabeth II, and countersigned below by Foreign Secretary James Callaghan. The upper left bears the Queen’s embossed seal. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and light creasing in the margins.
