Pen name of the French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (1873–1954), best known for such works as the Claudine series, La Chatte, and Gigi. Signed French-language booklet: Colette. Limited edition, numbered 25/50. Privately printed, no date (circa 1947). Paper leaves with black-and-white string, 8 x 11.25, 20 pages. Signed and inscribed in French on the title page in ink by Colette to Henri Filippachi, filmmaker and actor associated with Jean Cocteau. The contents of the booklet include an image of the writer, a facsimile manuscript page from her L'Etoile Vesper, a two-page facsimile tribute from Cocteau, and a detailed bibliography of her work up to 1947. In fine condition, with some light toning to edges of covers and pages.
