Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait photo of the lovely actress seated in shadow, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Cookie, best of luck, Carole Lombard.” In fine condition, with moderate signature contrast, light silvering to the edges, and some old tape stains in the right border. The recipient, “Cookie,” was the nickname for Richard Cook, a longtime sound technician for Paramount Studios who befriended numerous stars of the day.
