Description

ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, July 16, 1937. Handwritten letter responding to an inquiry about publications in Great Britain, in part: "In reply to your enquiry, I fear that I know of no paper other than the T.L.S., which is entirely devoted to literature…The best…reviews are I think to be found in 'The Spectator,' 'The New Statesman,' and the B.B.C.'s organ 'The Listener.'" In very good to fine condition, with a small tear to the lower blank area, a small area of paper loss to the first page, and light toning from prior display.
