Army officer (1845-1876) and two-time recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery during the Civil War. He was a younger brother of George Custer, perishing with him at Little Bighorn. Scarce ink signature, "T. W. Custer," on an off-white 3 x 2 lightly-lined slip clipped from a larger General Orders document, with his rank, "1st Lieut. 7th U.S. Cav.," written under his signature. In fine condition. A scarce signature of Custer's younger brother, one of only 19 men to have been awarded the Medal of Honor twice.
