Partly-printed DS, eight pages, 8.5 x 14, November 28, 1952. Agreement between William Faulkner and director Fred Zinneman for the sale of "all motion picture rights" to his story "The Old Man." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by William Faulkner and Random House vice president Robert Haas as owners, and countersigned by Fred Zinnemann and Jay Julian as purchasers. An attached rider notes: "The story 'The Old Man' was published as part of a work entitled 'The Wild Palms' consisting of said story and an additional story (both written by William Faulkner) by Random House, Inc. in 1939." Stapled into its original blue legal folder and in fine condition.
