Handwritten letter by the prolific 'Legend of Sleepy Hollow' author, in full: "Mr. Washington Irving accepts with pleasure the invitation of Mr. Henry Greenwell to dinner tomorrow." Suede-matted and framed with a portrait of Irving and a small biographical plaque to an overall size of 16 x 13. In very good to fine condition, with light staining affecting only appearance.
