Description

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 16.75 x 13, February 2, 1906. President Roosevelt appoints Joseph C. Weir as "Postmaster at Rantoul, in the County of Champaign, State of Illinois." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by President Theodore Roosevelt and countersigned by Postmaster General George B. Cortelyou. Nicely double-matted and framed with an artist's sketch to an overall size of 26.5 x 24.5. In very good to fine condition, with a tear to the body of the document, and light creasing in the signature area.
