President Roosevelt appoints Emil Schram of Illinois as "a Member of the Board of Directors of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, for a term of two years." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and countersigned by Secretary of State Cordell Hull. Matted and framed to an overall size of 24.75 x 20.75. In fine condition, with a light crease above the signature. The Reconstruction Finance Corporation, originally created under President Hoover and later expanded by FDR as part of the New Deal, provided emergency loans to banks, businesses, and local governments to stimulate economic recovery during and after the Great Depression.
