This deluxe edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, bound in blue cloth with an illustration plate and gilt facsimile signature on the front board, was published in an edition of 7,500 on September 27, 1999. Signed copies are hard to acquire as the release came during Rowling's second American tour, and she conducted no further signing events until the following year for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire—the primary book signed at those events. It is enhanced by the presence of 20 autographs of actors and actresses from the Harry Potter film series—highlighted by Rickman (Severus Snape), Gambon (Albus Dumbledore), Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Felton (Draco Malfoy), Grint (Ron Weasley), and Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange)—obtained at the July 2011 premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2; the wristband from the event is included. Also accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Harry Potter specialist Adam Houston.
