Handwritten letter to Irma Antonetto, the creator of the Italian Cultural Association, in part: “You asked me to tell you if ever have an Inspiration for your Conferences! I do — Kenneth Koch is a famous poet in America — More important, read the article about him in Il Messaggero. He teaches children, old people, near-illiterates how to write poetry. He has also worked with Italian children — speaks Italian well enough.” In fine condition, with two small file holes to the left margin. As Vidal preferred to type his correspondence as he aged, handwritten letters from the esteemed writer remains rather uncommon.
