One of the foremost Spanish dramatists of the 20th century (1866–1954) who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1922. Vintage matte-finish 8.75 x 11.25 photo of the bespectacled writer, affixed to its original 11.5 x 14 mount, signed and inscribed at the top in fountain pen by Jacinto Benavente. Also signed on the mount by the photography studio, Cartagena-Fot of Madrid, with their credit stamp on the reverse. In fine condition, with some scattered light foxing.
