Vintage ballpoint signatures of six of the original Mercury astronauts, "Virgil I. Grissom," "John H. Glenn, Jr.," "M. Scott Carpenter," "Leroy S. Cooper, Jr.," "Donald K. Slayton," and "Alan B. Shepard, Jr.," who adds an inscription above, “To Ken Davis with best wishes, The Astronauts,” on an off-white 6 x 9 sheet of Holiday Inn of Cocoa Beach stationery. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and intersecting folds.
Accompanied by three additional vintage signatures of John Glenn and Deke Slayton (2) on individual sheets of Holiday Inn stationery, both inscribed, with the Glenn signature dated July 29, 1960, and one Slayton signature dated August 11, 1960, and a transmittal letter from Eunice Cowan from August 31, 1960, which reads: “Sorry I have not had a chance to get this off to you sooner…I'm sure you will understand how awfully busy we can get; especially when word gets around that the Astronauts are at the Inn. Commander Shepard, told me that this would probably be the last time all of them would be there at the same time, don't know what he meant by that.”
