Kimball of the President's Advisory Committee on Government Organization, in part: "I am delighted to have the ten volume set of the 'Photographic History of the Civil War' that you are sending me. In looking through the two volumes already here, I am particularly intrigued with the photographs and references to the area around our farm at Gettysburg. The books will eventually go to our library there. Mrs. Eisenhower joins me in deep appreciation of your courtesy in giving the set to us—regardless of the fact that we feel a little bit guilty in accepting something that has been in your family for so many years." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original White House transmittal envelope.
