Revolutionary War-dated ADS, signed “O. Ellsworth,” one page, 7.25 x 8, November 17, 1775. Connecticut Pay-Table document penned in Ellsworth's hand, issued to Treasurer John Lawrence, in full: “Pay Colo: Erastus Woolcott Sum of One Hundred Pounds in Bills – to improve as a Com:tee to provide for this Colony’s Use Three Thousand Stand of Arms – pursuant to Act of Assembly in May last & account for same accordingly & charge it to Colony account.” Signed boldly at the conclusion by Oliver Ellsworth. In fine condition, with some small chips to the trimmed edges.
