Description

DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, August 11, 1937. Agreement between Paramount Pictures and Barrymore, who accepts and approves various terms concerning his title credits in the 1937 Paramount film City Hall Scandal. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Barrymore. In fine condition. City Hall Scandal commenced filming on August 16, 1937, and was subsequently retitled Night Club Scandal.

Accompanied by paperwork related to Barrymore’s contract with Paramount, including a memo about his billing, an August 25, 1937, transmittal letter from the William Morris Agency, the studio's confirmation of its call for Barrymore, and the request and authorization for the artist's engagement by Paramount Studios.
