Magnificent oversized vintage matte-finish 17.25 x 22.5 photogravure portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in her crown jewels at the start of her reign, signed in the lower border in fountain pen, "Elizabeth R, 1955." The portrait was originally taken by Baron on March 12, 1953, and subsequently published in England by Raphael Tuck & Sons. Matted to an overall size of 23.5 x 30. In very good to fine condition, with a surface scratch to the right of Elizabeth's head, and some fading to the signature.
