Matte-finish 13.5 x 10.75 photo of President Lyndon B. Johnson shaking hands with Ruth Skelton, calligraphically inscribed in the lower border, “To Ruth Skelton, with best wishes,” and signed in black felt tip, “Lyndon B. Johnson.” Framed with a presidential visitor’s card to a slightly larger size and in fine condition. Ruth Skelton was the wife of Byron George Skelton (1905– 2004), who President Johnson appointed as a judge of the United States Court of Claims on November 3, 1966, with Skelton ultimately assuming the role of senior judge on May 1, 1977.
