ALS in Yiddish,, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, June 12, 1977. Handwritten letter to David Giladi, a Jewish art dealer and a collector of Chagall's work, in part (translated): "Thank you for writing to me, and your interest in my songs. If I do not answer often, it is for a very simple reason: it is difficult for me. If you found interest in my songs, I thank you, but I can not deal with it unfortunately. The person responsible for all this is Cramer, the manager from Geneva (Switzerland). I hope I may have the strength to come, at least for a few days, to our country. My God!—This is my dream, and also the dream of Vara, my wife." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Chagall's own hand.
