Prolific British novelist (1856-1925) best known for such adventure fare as King Solomon's Mines and Allan Quatermain. ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.25 x 7, Ditchingham House letterhead, April 9, 1906. Handwritten letter to Mr. McLaren, in part: "I send this line to say that I am leaving London & that the above is my permanent address whenever it is wished to communicate with me re: the Coast Defence Commission. I have not sent…the book (Rural England) as the new edition is not yet out." In fine condition.
