Signed book: Honest John. First edition. NY: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1962. Hardcover with dust jacket, 6 x 8.5, 313 pages. Signed and inscribed on the half-title page in blue ballpoint, "Bill, it is a pleasure to be able to do this for you. I count you as a real friend and I do hope you enjoy reading the book. Cheers, Bud Mahurin." A loosely laid-in note indicates that the recipient was Bill Rhote, who worked for Mahurin for a period of about five years in the 1960s. In fine condition, with light wear to the dust jacket.
