Description

British explorer, army officer, professional hunter, and conservationist (1851–1917) famous for his exploits in Southeast Africa. ALS signed “F. C. Selous,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 7.25, Heatherside letterhead, February 7, 1907. Handwritten letter to "Mrs. Noble," in part: "I enclose you my 'Fellows Ticket' for the present session of the Royal Geographical Society. I believe that this ticket will admit one person to any of the ordinary lectures; but I do not know if it will be of any use for a special meeting. When the date of Capt. Boyd Alexander's lecture has been announced, if you will let me know I will write to the secretary of the R.G.S. and see if I can get you tickets." In fine condition.
