Description

Rare, fully signed Highway to Hell poster—AC/DC's last tour with Bon Scott

Rare color 30 x 20 poster for AC/DC's "Highway to Hell European Tour '79," signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "To Ron & Kev, Malcolm Young, AC/DC," "Angus Young, AC/DC," "Bon, AC/DC," "Phil Rudd, AC/DC," and "Cliff Williams." Mounted to a 31.5 x 22.25 board and in very good condition, with flattened creases and ripples, light soiling, and all of the handwriting light but fully legible.

AC/DC's landmark album Highway to Hell was released on July 27, 1979, and cemented the band's status as hard rock icons, featuring the hit title track known for its powerful guitar riff and rebellious lyrics. The band's tour in support of the album kicked off in Bilzen, Belgium, on August 17, 1979, and concluded at Southampton on January 27, 1980. Bon Scott died due to alcohol poisoning three weeks after the end of the tour's European leg, leading to the cancelation of the Japan and Australia portions of the tour. A remarkable fully signed tour poster from the height of AC/DC's fame.
