Shadow of the Thin Man (1941) is a classic American murder mystery comedy film directed by W. S. Van Dyke. It stars William Powell and Myrna Loy as the beloved detective duo Nick and Nora Charles, who find themselves entangled in a murder investigation at a racetrack.
