Rare D. J. Tallant & Co. business check, 6 x 2.5, filled out in another hand and signed by John Coffee Hays, "John C. Hays, Sheriff," payable to Brideman for $20, March 20, 1851. Matted and framed with a carte-de-visite portrait photo to an overall size of 11.75 x 14.25. In fine condition.
