ALS, one page, 7.5 x 10.25, April 21, 1900. Handwritten letter to publisher G. P. Putnam's Sons, in full: "My charge for a book plate is from one hundred to one hundred and fifty dollars. The one you mention would be one hundred dollars. Is it not of a rather small size?" In very good to fine condition, with a rough left edge, and a short split to the central horizontal fold.
