Wonderful ANS signed “Ed. Manet,” penned on his personal 4 x 2.5 visiting card, October 26, 1879. Edouard Manet adds a handwritten note in French above (translated), “Good for one portrait in pastel,” and then writes the date below his signature. In fine condition, with some light toning and soiling. A desirable and uncommon signed format from the esteemed modernist painter.
