Huntington thanks Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson for "two volumes bound in boards of the acts passed at the first session of the second congress"

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1731-1796) and seventh president of the Continental Congress. ALS signed “Sam'l Huntington,” one page, 7 x 8.5, June 5, 1792. Handwritten letter to "Hon. Thomas Jefferson, Esq'r, Secretary of State," in part: "I am favor'd, with your letter…and therewith inclosed two volumes bound in boards of the acts passed at the first session of the second congress, and also the copies of the several acts & resolution of Congress specified in your letter." In very good to fine condition, with a trimmed top edge, later ink annotations, and show-through along the left side from a partial adjoining leaf affixed on the back.
