Description

ALS signed “H. Clay,” one page, 7.75 x 9.75, January 26, 1836. Handwritten letter discussing financial matters, in part: "I send an order for $200…which I thank you to collect and pass to my credit with the Bank. After which you will oblige me, at your leisure, by sending me a Copy of my account. Allow me to remind you of the credit claimed by Genl. James Taylor, which, at his insistence, I presented to you…Do tell me also what is your prospect of getting a Charter from the Legislature of Penns'a. I hope it may be good. I see that a bill is introduced." In fine condition.
