"It is a pity we are not in Munich now with so many exciting things happening to my paintings"

Colombian artist (1932-2023) best known for his distinctive paintings of rotund figures and animals. ALS signed “Fernando,” two pages, 8.5 x 11, May 10, 1968. Handwritten letter to Herbert Bucholz, in part: “I received your two letters with the very exciting news about the show and your friends buying my paintings. It’s great! Of course you have the reproduction rights of the paintings you bought and your friend the editor. I hope you have received my letter of 3 days ago. It is a pity we are not in Munich now with so many exciting things happening to my paintings. And so much because of your interest in my work.” In fine condition, with file holes to the left edge.
