Ink and felt tip signatures, “Marcel Carne” and “Maria Casares,” on an off-white sheet 8.25 x 11.5, bearing three printed images of posters for the classic 1945 French romantic epic Children of Paradise (Les Enfants du Paradis), which, in 1995, was voted by 600 French critics and professionals as the ‘Best Film Ever,’ a sentiment shared by Marlon Brando. In fine condition.
Marcel Carne was a French film director (1906-1996) who was influential in the poetic realism movement. Maria Casares was a Spanish-born French actress (1922–1996) who was one of the most distinguished stars of the French stage and cinema. Her first film role was in Les Enfants du Paradis, one of the great classics of French cinema.
