Description

" I once had ambitions to be a cartoonist and did some very good work and can yet do quite well. I also did water color and oils and in fact did the art work on this letter head"

TLS, one page, 8.25 x 10.75, personal illustrated letterhead, February 9, 1963. Addressed from San Fernando, a letter to Joel Tower, in full: “Am sorry for the long delay in answering your very nice letter but in moving last year a great deal of mail was misplaced in files and so on and I am busy now in trying to catch up if that is possible. The art work you enclosed was excellent and I must say, very different than any I have ever seen. I once had ambitions to be a cartoonist and did some very good work and can yet do quite well. I also did water color and oils and in fact did the art work on this letter head. I think that you should pursue that line of work for, as I have said, you have a style all your own and believe it would sell. Would like to see you if you are at any time in my neighborhood and am mailing you a picture as you requested.” In fine condition.
