French impressionist and neo-impressionist painter (1884-1972) who was the youngest son of painter Camille Pissarro and the godson of Claude Monet. Twice-signed ALS signed “Paulemile-Pissarro,” one page, 8.25 x 10.5, attractive engraved illustrated floral letterhead, December 30, 1963. Untranslated handwritten letter from Paul-Émile Pissarro, who signs at the conclusion and then again in the lower left of the printed floral image, which appears to have been embellished by Pissarro. In the letter, he provides news about his family, Vera and his son Hugues — who was also a painter. Then Pissarro explains how Mr. du Raimey asked for details of his paintings exhibited at the ‘Salon d'Automne,’ but that all have already been sold, further citing ongoing talks with Mr. Girard. In fine condition.
