Five original vintage glossy NASA photos from the personal archives of Apollo 14 LMP Edgar Mitchell, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, with two black-numbered and two red-numbered, each signed on the reverse in blue felt tip, "Edgar D. Mitchell," and stamped in ink, "Provenance: The Edgar D. Mitchell Space Collection." Images include: the Apollo 14 Saturn V rollout from to Pad 39A; a close-up of Mitchell during training at the Manned Spacecraft Center; Mitchell completing a training exercise at the USAF Air Command life support school; Mitchell with a machete during training at the Panama Jungle Survival School; and Mitchell ingressing a Command Module trainer during preparations for water egress training in the Gulf of Mexico.
Includes two other NASA photos from Mitchell's collection, unsigned and unstamped, showing the Apollo 14 CM 'Kitty Hawk' with parachutes deployed after splashdown, and a red-numbered photo of the Apollo 14 Saturn V during rollout. All photos bear NASA caption text on the reverse, and the color photos all have "A Kodak Paper" watermarks. In overall very good to fine condition, with surface rubbing to the signed Saturn V photo, unobtrusive surface loss to the corner of the water training photo, and crazing and surface loss to the unsigned splashdown photo.
