Vintage fountain pen signatures, “Jack Dempsey” and “Max Baer, your friend, 5/14/36,” on an off-white 3.75 x 6 album page. In fine condition. Dempsey befriended the younger champion near the height of Baer's fame, advising him on his boxing technique and occasionally sitting in his corner. To find the two champions together on a single piece from the period is most unusual and highly desirable. From the collection of noted collector Preston Sawyer.
