Unsigned handwritten note by Ronald Reagan, one page, 4 x 6, September 12, 1968. Handwritten note about his career in sports broadcasting, in full: "I was the 'play by play' announcer of the Cubs & Sox games on WHO - 33 to 37 on weekends & some evenings used to handle the P.A. system for the 'Demons.' On 'Stillwell Road' it's very possible I did the narration but did so many while I was in the Air Force I can't recall all the titles." In fine condition.
As a young 21-year-old college graduate in 1932, Reagan got his first break as a sportscaster with WOC Radio in Iowa. His talent was quickly recognized, and he moved to WHO in Des Moines where he announced Chicago Cubs baseball games.
