Scarce ALS in pencil, one page, 8 x 10.5, [May 18, 1921]. Handwritten letter of introduction to Colonel William Haskell, in full: "This will introduce to you my good friend Munn who wants to know the possibilities of exporting surplus government textiles. You can depend on him in anything." Annotated on the reverse in another hand: "Letter of introduction written by Mr. Hoover for John R. Munn to Col. Wm. Haskell—Washington DC., May 18, 1921. Hoover was Secy. of Commerce." In very good to fine condition, with multiple intersecting folds.
