Early TLS, one page, 7.75 x 9.75, United States Civil Service Commission letterhead, May 16, 1890. Letter to M. A. Meyendorff, Esq., in full: "I think Miss Dodge is quite right. You yourself can best write your adventures. You can give them the proper tone, as no one else can. Mrs. Roosevelt has just written thanking you for your beautiful flowers. I enclose you two letters, to the editor of the Century and the managing editor of Putnam's Publishing House." In fine condition.
