Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 17.5 x 13.75, December 9, 1892. President Harrison appoints Edgar Strayer as "an Assistant Surgeon in the Marine Hospital Service of the United States." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by President Benjamin Harrison and countersigned by Secretary of the Treasury Charles Foster. In fine condition, with minor loss to the lower right corner.
