Cutler, in full: "Thank you very much for your letter and generous words and especially for your artwork, the Texas Blue Bonnets and Shells. It is lovely and Nancy and I are most pleased to have it. I tried to phone while we were in Dallas but got no answer—hence this letter. I'm very proud to have your support and will do my best to deserve it. Please give my regards to Ruby—we who knew Moonlight Inn have a bond. It was quite an institution. It's gone now but one alumnus of the place sent me the little wooden sign that hung above the door and I have it at the ranch. Again, our thanks to you and very best wishes."
