French painter and sculptor (1901–1985) known for founding the 'Art Brut' movement. ALS in French, one page, 4.5 x 3.5, August 19, 1955. Handwritten letter to Mrs. and Mr. Everett Somerville Brown, in part (translated): "Happy New Years. I am glad that you still like this painting. Will you come to Paris?" In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Dubuffet's own hand.
