Remarkable pairing of ink signatures as president, "William McKinley, May 13, 1901" and "Theodore Roosevelt, May 8th, 1903,” on opposite sides of an off-white 5.75 x 3.5 album page. In very good condition, with a hole in the lower blank area, and overall speckled staining affecting appearance; the otherwise bold signatures are largely unaffected. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
Theodore Roosevelt became president of the United States after the assassination of William McKinley, under whom he had served as vice president. McKinley is recognized for his leadership during the Spanish-American War and for promoting industrial growth and prosperity. Roosevelt built on McKinley's foundation, gaining fame for his progressive reforms and dedication to environmental conservation. A superior pairing of presidential autographs.
