American Revolutionary soldier (1740–1814) who helped organize the ‘Quaker Blues,’ a company of volunteers. Colonial Pennsylvania engraved bank note for "One Shilling," 2.75 x 3.25, dated April 3, 1772, issued as "No. 2465," boldly signed in ink by Clement Biddle and two others. Printed in Philadelphia by David Hall and William Sellers, with the reverse bearing the cautionary message: "To Counterfeit is Death." In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
