Founding Father (1738–1802) who was a delegate to the Continental Congress from Georgia, and a signer of the Articles of Confederation; he later moved to Baltimore, where he edited The Maryland Journal & Baltimore Advertiser and served as clerk of customs. Partial partly-printed DS, signed “E. Langworthy,” one page, 13 x 8.25, June 9, 1802. Export certificate issued at the Port of Baltimore for the Ship Diana, signed at the conclusion by Edward Langworthy as a customs officer. In very good to fine condition, with fold separations, tape and dampstaining along one edge, and chipping to the edges, not affecting the signature. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
