King Charles appoints Adam Urquhart of Meldrum as “Captain of that our Troop of Horse in our ancient Kingdome of Scotland, which was formerly commanded by our right trusty & beloved Cousin & Councellor James Earle of Airty.” Signed in the upper border in ink by King Charles II. In fine, folded condition, with the seal detached, but present.
